Brandon Lu is a Chinese-American director & photographer based in Brooklyn, NY, and the founder of BLU Studio.

His artistic practice explores presence, memory, and belonging through portraits, documentary, and conceptual visual art. Recent projects include Traces of Memory, a photo book chronicling three journeys to China over two decades and Between Shore and Sky, a self-portrait study in Chinese printing & cyanotype.

Through BLU Studio, he brings that same eye to brand work, turning complex ideas into story-driven films & content for commercial brands, startups, and agencies. Before founding BLU, he spent five years building and scaling products at Faire and Cash App.
